The VIRTUALIAN FESTIVAL's goal was to recreate the feel of a street festival: providing a vibrant place to get together, share art, participate in art activities and celebrate your support for artists worldwide during DIFFICULT times and beyond.
For our kickoff, WE connected with artists in Italy, at the time under strict lockdown and one of the hardest-hit countries by COVID19.
WE MET EVERY SATURDAY, at 4 pm PDT, and connected through art, activities and indie music.
DIFFERENT ARTISTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, from all walks of life and at various stages in their careers, delighted us for about an hour.
Every event was followed by a brief social
"ON-NOMI": audiences and artists alike grabbed their drinks and socialized with one another online in our virtual lounge.
Virtualian FESTIVAL 2020
Why arts matter >
Community art happens when people and artists gather to create dialogue, when we express thoughts and emotions through various art forms, providing inclusive opportunities for growth, interaction and support. That's a healthy creative community.
We are gearing up for more 2020 dates.

What's in a Name:
The Virtualian Festival is a play on words: named after the The Bacchanalia (or Bacchanal / Carnival) "Roman festivals of Bacchus based on various ecstatic elements of the Greek Dionysia. They seem to have been popular and well-organised throughout the central and southern Italian peninsula” and derived from the word virtual, but also recalling Virgil, the poet
Omnia vincit Amor:
et nos cedamus Amori
Love conquers all
